Description
Continental Auctioneers School Interactive Online Auctioneers Training Program
8 Week Program (Students are expected to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week between live webcast meetings, lecture reviews, assignments, quizzes, and independent study and practice)
Weekly Bid Calling Audio and Video Exchange
Students learn the fundamentals of bid calling including instruction on bid increments, two-part and three-part chants, public speaking and presentation, chant construction, rhythm, voice control and clarity over the course of the program. Each week instructors will post an instructional video beginning with number drills and tongue twisters and working towards building an auction chant. Students will be asked to submit an audio/video recording each week of themselves performing the assigned tasks that instructors will then provide feedback/correction/guidance on.
Weekly live webcast meetings
Each week, Instructors will hold live office hours via online video conferencing to review course material presented in recorded lectures, answer questions students have and assist students in bid calling practice. Students are required to attend at least 50% of these meetings in person to complete the program and will have access to recordings of any meetings missed.
Recorded Lectures
Students are required to review the recorded lectures listed below. Quizzes and assignments are required to be completed by students to demonstrate comprehension of the course material that is presented in these lectures. Instructors are available each week via email, phone or digital messaging to answer questions students might have at any time. Instructors will also offer 2 hours each week of web conferencing to review lectures and address student questions.
